Start reading in Safari
Open the Terms Agent app, choose Open Safari Settings, and enable Terms Agent under Extensions. Open a regular website and choose Terms Agent in Safari’s toolbar. Approve access to the website when Safari asks.
Start reading in Chrome
Open a website’s terms or privacy policy, then choose Terms Agent from Chrome’s extensions menu or toolbar. No account is required.
Find, read, check
- Find the website’s terms or privacy policy.
- Read one topic in plain language.
- Check the original wording and its context.
The explanation is a starting point. The original policy is your reference.
Choose your topics
Open Topics to show first in Settings or Welcome to pin the topics you want to see first. Pins only change reading order; they do not give websites consent.
Cookie notices
Hide cookie notices is off by default. Turning it on asks for access across websites. In Safari, use Always Allow on Every Website, or Settings → Extensions → Terms Agent → Edit Websites to manage access. Return to Terms Agent and choose Check access again if needed.
Hiding notices does not accept or reject cookies, or block ads or tracking. Turn the option off to restore notices hidden on open pages.
When a page cannot be read
Open the website’s terms or privacy policy directly, then click Terms Agent in the toolbar. Browser settings pages and downloaded documents are not supported. Linked reading includes up to three direct HTML policy links on the same origin; other documents remain links you can open yourself.
Report a problem
Include your operating system, browser version, Terms Agent version, and the steps that caused the problem. Share a public page address if helpful. Avoid sending passwords, account details, or private policy text.
Analysis uses phrase matching and can miss context or exceptions. Read the original wording for important decisions.
